A Petite Girl's Guide To Streetwear Styling

Whilst Nike and adidas have limited options for those of us with 'lil legs, us petite gals have to look elsewhere to get the same street-style look as our mates without being drowned by the clothes. Majority of the time, we can get away with oversized, slightly-too-long t-shirts and sweatshirts, however for our jeans, joggers and shorts, there's nothing worse than looking like that fresh year 7 kid whose mum decided they were going to buy a uniform with 'a bit of growing room'.

Nike's bottoms are made to fit those ladies between the heights of 5'4 and 5'8, but even then they come up a little roomy. With the inseam length on their most popular jogger style being 30.5", there's a good chunk of us who resort to rolling up the cuffs. However if you prefer the faff-free life, ASOS is here to save the day with an exceptional collection of clothes made for us queens who are 5'3 and under.

We're not going to tell you that you can't wear certain things just because you're petite; wear whatever you want! Buuuut, if you're looking for something that will elongate you in the leg area, make sure you opt for a high-waisted design or a cropped top. We've also found that, if you do want the brands (because, who doesn't?), make sure to accessorise your outfit and choose some 'one size fits all' bits and pieces.

Baggy joggers are key to making an outfit that little bit more street. Gone are the days when joggers were strictly for round-the-house lounging...

To pair with tight-fitting pieces, such as leggings and biker shorts. Contrast is key, ladies! Although, there is an art to finding the perfect oversized fit.
