A Sneak Peek at the BAPE x New Balance 2002R

The BAPE x New Balance 2002R has been on our radar for quite some time, but now, for the first time ever, we're getting a sneak peek courtesy of NB product manager David Gibson! Spotted here in the green colourway, these are a definite must cop in our eyes.

Featuring an ultra premium construction of leather and suede, A Bathing Ape's signature 1ST CAMO motif makes its way around the upper in militaristic tones. Co-branded detailing graces the tongue, while the lateral and medial sidewalls feature New Balance's legendary italicised "N" logo. Around the back, you'll find a shark tooth graphic that's synonymous to the Japanese brand since 1993, and this all sits on top of a chunky Abzorb midsole that's as comfortable as it gets.

As you can see from the above video, a "Grey Camo" version is also in the works. A lot more understated in comparison, both 2002R pairs arrive in special boxes that are adorned with the "apes together strong" slogan.
