Soon after New Balance's 57/40 model made its debut in January, the modernised New Balance 574 has already played host to some of the most unprecedented collaborations we've seen in a while, notably speaking of the tie-dyed pair recently launched in tandem with Japanese streetwear and sneaker boutique atmos. Now taking their innovations even further in Southeast Asia, the Boston sportswear giant has touched down in Hong Kong to deliver the Dahood x New Balance 57/40 "Da Special Pack" in partnership with Mong Kok-based footwear hub Dahood, featuring a retro flair that mimics '80s retro toy-style packaging.
Alongside notorious influential Asian sneaker icons that we all know and love such as Hiroshi Fujiwara, Jun Takahashi, and Chitose Abe just to name a few, Billy Pang aka "Dahooder", also deems worthy of a spot in the team. Not only does he operate his retail chains, mainly Dahood Hub, but he also manages numerous commercial spaces in Asia for international footwear brands such as Nike and Vans. Dressing New Balance's Dahood 57/40 in five diverse colorways, two of the lot being women's exclusive pairs, Pang's artwork will no doubt be a great addition to every sneakerhead's rotation.
