Well, this was certainly unexpected. As if out of nowhere, a The North Face x Gucci collaboration was just teased via the Italian fashion house's official Instagram account, and to say that we're beyond hyped is an understatement in itself. While this certainly isn't the outdoor brand's first luxurious collection, having previously teamed up with MM6 Maison Margiela back in August, this is definitely in a class of its own.
Unveiled through a short video, the clip shows a makeshift flag that's adorned with TNF's iconic Half Dome logo with Gucci written just below it, complete with the Florence-based imprint's signature "Bangladesh Green" and "Rufous" colour palette.
While not much else is known about this collaboration, it's safe to assume that the Alessandro Michele-helmed label will do away with their usual leather jackets and wool sweaters in favour of The North Face's more technical aesthetic. Will we see a co-branded Nuptse just in time for the cold autumn months? Only time will tell.
If you're interested in this collection, make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier and we'll let you know as soon as more info on the The North Face x Gucci collaboration arrives. Let us know what you think of this premium partnership, and in other collaborative news, the Off-White x Nike Air Rubber Dunk is dropping much sooner than expected!
