New Balance continues its legacy of premium craftsmanship with the debut of the Allerdale, a fresh addition to the brand’s renowned Made in UK collection. This release pays tribute to the historic Allerdale District, home to New Balance’s Flimby factory, celebrating the region’s rich tradition of quality shoemaking.
Expertly designed, the Allerdale boasts a luxurious “Dark Brown” full leather upper, drawing inspiration from vintage tennis shoes like the New Balance T500. Its blend of premium materials and meticulous construction reinforces New Balance’s reputation for timeless styles.
To ensure ultimate comfort and performance, the shoe integrates advanced technologies, including Ortholite insoles and FuelCell foam cushioning, borrowed from the brand’s elite running shoe lineup.
The Allerdale also incorporates subtle outdoor and hiking influences, highlighted by D ring eyelets and a sturdy outsole designed for reliable traction and stability. These rugged elements pay homage to the breathtaking landscapes of the Allerdale region, such as the Lake District National Park and the Solway Coast. Finishing touches include an embroidered NB logo on the midfoot, a woven Allerdale branded tag, and a low top silhouette reminiscent of the iconic New Balance 550.
Priced at £220, New Balance has yet to confirm an official release date for the Allerdale. The shoe is expected to be released on 20th March and it has already started appearing at select retailers across Asia. Stay tuned to The Sole Supplier for the latest updates on this release and more.
