adidas is smashing the retro sneaker game this year. From the LXCON to the Ozweego, the German giant is a master of bringing back silhouettes from the past and making them for a modern audience. Now, for its latest Consortium release, the Three Stripes has gone back to the '90s to reimagine the Trediac - now the Torsion TRDC.
While the Trediac wasn't that well-known back in the day, it was one of the most popular off-road runners that you could buy. For this rework, the Torsion TRDC has been given a full material upgrade without compromising on the original's aesthetic. Painted in a blue and white colour scheme with light green accents throughout, it's crafted from a ton of mesh and synthetic fabrics, so you can rock these day in, day out.
Down below, you'll find an extra chunky midsole that's made from adidas' adiPRENE tech, and to round off the design, trail-ready rope laces tie the shoe together, finalising the beautifully retro look.
Described by adidas as a “testament to the long-lasting appeal of the functionality and craftsmanship at the heart of adidas' running shoe stable”, the adidas Consortium Torsion TRDC will launch on August 23rd. Will you be adding a pair to your personal collection?
