But long before the market was dominated by the Swoosh brand's Nike Dunk silhouette, all attention was on the adidas NMD model, and it's safe to say that it's still a relevant style. For me, the adidas NMD fits true to size. Whether it's the R1, or the CS1, each one of them fit TTS. I personally wouldn't go any bigger as they can be a bit too long across the toebox, and I wouldn't go any smaller as they could be a little narrow around the midfoot section.

The only exception to this is the NMD S1. This new silhouette is slightly longer in the toe box, so we'd recommend going at least a half size down.

For everyday wear, the NMD is insanely comfortable. Made for travel, they can be packed and tucked away in anyway bag. With that said, I definitely wouldn't wear them for running or activities like that because they don't have the best arch support and actually might damage your feet long term!

Definitely one of the most versatile silhouettes out there, I style mine with an oversized hoodie and cargo pants with plenty of pockets. You can literally wear these with absolutely anything though so make sure you experiment.

Most NMDs are made from adidas' Primeknit material so you can just throw them into the wash. However, if you want to be a little more careful you can just warm soapy water and a fine brush, moving in small clockwise circles for the ultimate cleaning experience.

My favourite colourways are the Nice Kicks x adidas NMD R1 and the adidas NMD S1 "Ice Mint". It's the first Nomad collab ever made and is inspired by San Francisco's hippie scene. I also happened to get them for retail as well which make them even better! I also love the OG adidas NMD CS1 which glows in the dark, they remind you of those crazy scramble crossings in Shibuya, Japan.

If you’re looking to pick up a pair of the new adidas NMD S1, you should go half a size to a whole size down depending on your desired fit. This shoe was designed with true comfort in mind so picking up the perfect size will help get the most out of the shoe.

One of the greatest things about the adidas NMD is its comfort. The Boost sole provides a lot of cushioning and the Primeknit upper of the shoe means it fits perfectly! I mean, check out the unit on the new NMD S1, that has to be at least one inch thick!

When I wear the NMDs, I usually like to go for a comfortable athleisure look. They go great with some shorts and a light t-shirt to get you through summer.

Because the adidas NMD has a Primeknit upper, I am usually careful not to damage the shoe while I clean them. I like to use a soft bristle brush and a Jason Markk shoe cleaner to delicately clean the whole shoe.

My favourite colourways of this adidas silhouette have got to be the adidas NMD R1 OG "White" and the adidas NMD S1 "White". It’s a timeless classic and the all-white colourway is perfect for summer. I was so close to getting half a size up because that's what I usually go for when I buy trainers just so there's a little room for my feet to breathe. However, I was recommended by adidas store staff to go true to size on the adidas NMD and it fitted me perfectly.

I don't think there are any other pairs in my collection that can beat the NMDs in terms of comfort. The Boost midsole down under has really set the standards high for me when I'm looking for a new pair of kicks.

I've seen a lot of people wear their pairs with skinny jeans, but that's just not me. I opt for baggy sweatpants all day long.

I use a soft sponge soaked in warm soapy water to clean the uppers as all adidas NMDs are usually made from soft Primeknit lining. I accidentally used a brush once and damaged it so I'll make sure not to make the same mistake twice.

I don't have a lot of adidas NMD in my collection, but when they were all the rage when they first released, I was so buzzed to get my hands on the BAPE x adidas NMD R1 "Camo". I still wear that pair up to this day, and I really wanted to add the friends and family-exclusive adidas NMD S1 "Mint" to my rotation too.

Unless you're looking to cop the new NMD S1, the adidas Originals NMD fits true to size. It's engineered with adidas' super soft, stretchy Primeknit material that provides a sock-like fit, meaning that comfort levels on them are off the roof. If that's not enough to convince you, the Boost midsole is designed from thermoplastic polyurethane – a type of material that enables maximum shock absorption and instantly returns to its normal shape.

If you are looking to cop the NMD S1, you should go half a size down at least. You can even go a whole size down depending on your desired fit! If you go true to size, you'll likely find the toe box to be too long.
