The Year of the Pig is almost upon us and adidas Originals is already getting inspired by the upcoming festivities.
In honour of the New Year celebrations, the brand has revealed plans to reinvent several of its most popular silhouettes in keeping with a Chinese zodiac theme.
The first two pairs to be unveiled are the chunky Yung 96 and the classic Superstar.
Adorned in rich red hues and golden detailing, this pack is reminiscent of China's luxurious silk patterns and packed with unique detailing.
The Yung 96's signature layered upper is painted in contrasting red, neon yellow, and grey, with red trimmed white laces tying the sneaker together.
The Superstar on the other hand offers a more minimalistic look in red and white with gold embroidery bringing a premium touch.
Lion dance costume graphics also make a bold appearance on the heels of both shoes, completing the CNY motivated aesthetic in statement style.
If you're loving these designs, make sure to stay tuned as we are expecting to see more pairs surface from the collection in the next few weeks.
