The adidas Samba has been treated to glamorous makeovers by none other than British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful and contributing editors Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
adidas's classic football silhouette is at the centre of DJ Tony Manarch's London Pride project.
Enlisting an A-List group of LGBTQ+ supporters, Tony gave Kate, Naomi, and Edward the theme "prouder"; as inspiration to customise the Samba.
Tony explained, “I wanted to create something with Adidas that really spoke to where we are today by envisaging a new notion of pride as being one with no labels; and how we as a community alongside our allies can push things further still.”
The OG adidas Samba features a monochrome colour palette and a sturdy leather upper, which Edward Enninful pays tribute to in his minimalistic patent black and white design.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell embraces the Pride flag as part of her customisation. Rainbow laces and stitching make a statement across the shoe's luxurious deep blue velvet upper.
British icon Kate Moss opted to create a deconstructed translucent rendition of the Samba in pearlescent icy blue fabric from top to toe.
If this trio of designs has caught your eye, you'll have a chance to get your hands on a pair at an eBay auction, which will be taking place on July 3rd in support of the Albert Kennedy Trust.
