The Air Max 98 Has Been Coated In Oil Grey

The Nike Air Max 98 has been seeing something of a renaissance lately, with the release of multiple new colourways and textures, including the fierce AM-98 in Leopard Print – complete with pony hair – and the AM-98 Summit White, which combines more subtle hues for a more streetwear edge.

The latest addition to the 98 family comes as an Oil Grey silhouette – officially: Oil Grey/Black/Black/Oil Grey. Designed by the very same person who gave us the Air Max 95 – Sergio Lozano – this sneaker comes fashioned from mesh and leather panels layered on top in black and grey hues and 3M piping details.

The chunky white midsole underfoot brings some contrast to the sneaker, which has an ominous, mysterious aesthetic. Of course, a 98 wouldn't be complete without the full length Air Sole unit, which stretched from the heel to the forefoot, showing the cushioning technology inside, with a black rubber outsole rounding the look off.

There's Nike branding all over different parts of the sneaker, from the outer sidewalls, to the tongue, with a tiny Swoosh embossed into the midsole at the heel. You'll definitely have a Nike day if you decide to rock these.

As an 'Older Kids' shoe ranging from a UK 3 to a UK 6, this 98 would be perfect for those of you who often miss out on the bigger releases that don't always go that small.
