Technically, the Air Jordan 1 'Shattered Backboard' wasn't introduced with this name, however, it was christened so when Michael Jordan was playing a game in Trieste, Italy in 1985 and he so forcefully dunked at the net that it completely shattered the glass on the backboard. A sneaker with an incredible backstory, this is the stuff of myth, and now, it looks like it will be making a return.
According to sneaker insider @zsneakerheadz, a third rendition of the iconic creation is on the cards. Aptly dubbed the 'Shattered Backboard 3.0', no actual photos of the shoe exist, however, its colour code points out the inclusion of 'Black', 'Pale Vanilla', and 'Starfish' – three shades that work perfectly together to capture the 'Shattered Backboard' aesthetic.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the Air Jordan 1 'Shattered Backboard 3.0', however, it's rumoured to be dropping sometime next year, so be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! In related news, this factory flawed Air Jordan 1 'Reverse Shattered Backboard' can be yours for £113,000!
