After months of speculation and leaked images, we’ve finally managed to get our hands on official images of the eagerly-anticipated sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Black/Gum”. The popular silhouette has been decked out in a stealthy-looking colourway that will no doubt be popular with sneakerheads as it’s easily one of the most wearable renditions we’ve seen yet. The VaporWaffle was first introduced back in 2020, designed by Chitose Abe’s sacai label, and has remained a popular choice ever since.
Crafted from a variety of fabrics, the uppers consist of suede, canvas and leather and showcase sacai’s signature double Swoosh branding that has adorned all of its Nike collaborations since the original LDWaffle. The tongues are also doubled up and feature dual branding for a collaborative look.
Other notable features include blacked-out laces and pull tabs on the heels to ensure that these can be slipped on and off with ease. Of course, this all sits on top of the chunky double-stacked sole that instantly sets this pair apart from the rest of the crowd. A classic gum outsole unit finishes off the look, breaking up the otherwise monotone colour scheme.
If you’re looking to get your hands on this hyped pair of kicks then you’ll have to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier as there’s no official release date just yet, although we expect to see these arrive at select retailers in the coming months.
