As undoubtedly one of the biggest names in skateboarding, it’s come as no surprise that Paul Rodriguez is getting yet another signature sneaker with Nike SB. Known simply as P-Rod, the pro skater has been signed with Nike’s skateboarding division for many years now and has dropped a few collaborations over the years, including several Dunks.
To honour his dedication to the brand, the Swoosh is now releasing the Nike SB Dunk Low “What The P-Rod”, a sneaker which combines all the most recognisable elements from P-Rod shoes over the years into one amalgamation. Fans are already eagerly anticipating a release and we’ve got all the details right here!
The mash-up nature of the pair means that plenty of different fabrics are used across the construction, with notable panels coming from the P-Rod “Stash”, the “J-Rod” (inspired by the Air Jordan 1) and the P-Rod 1 “Mexican Blanket”. Of course, classic Nike features such as Swoosh logos remain, but the tongues and heel tabs instead opt for P-Rod’s signature logo.
Underfoot, a rubber midsole unit houses all the madness above and conceals a full-length Nike Air cushioning system, with added Zoom inserts in order to make these one of the most comfortable sneakers in your collection, SB Dunks really are the one!
The Nike SB Dunk Low “What The P-Rod” is yet to receive an official release date so don’t get too excited just yet, although we can be sure to see them arrive at select retailers and on the Nike SNKRS app sometime this year. In the meantime, make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier and check out the best Air Max Day drops this year!
