The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 2002 has been eagerly anticipated by fans ever since the designer first teased the sneakers back in April. Bembury is currently head of sneakers and men’s footwear at Versace, and previously worked on the Yeezy design team.
Courtesy of the legendary John Mayer, we’ve now got our hands on some on-foot pictures of the pair, and it’s safe to say that they’re looking set to be a high-heat release! The NB2002 is a lesser-seen silhouette that was originally aimed at the performance market, but has now transcended to be a hit with sneakerheads.
Decked out in a vibrant orange and burgundy colorway, the pair look set to be crafted from mesh fabrics and showcase New Balance’s signature N logo in a furry suede material, alongside Salehe Bembury branding running down the tongue.
This autumnal-colourway is sure to be a hit with sneakerheads across the globe, as it’s giving us OG-Ronnie Fieg vibes, which is certainly a complement for any footwear designer! Like all New Balance silhouettes, these will be packed full of high-end technology to ensure they provide a smooth ride.
