The more we see the Union LA x Air Jordan 4 SP "Off Noir" the more we're loving it, and the same thing can be said for plenty of sneakerheads out there. When we first caught a glimpse of the AJ4 at the end of last month, we were honestly pretty unhappy with its design. With that said, as more images surfaced, we began to appreciate what Chris Gibbs and his team were trying to achieve, and we're now taking an on-foot look!
Regarded by many as the best sneaker collaboration of the summer, the "Off Noir" takes on the classic Air Jordan 4 but adds its own unique twist. Building on a breathable mesh base, premium black nubuck descends across the entire upper, contrasted by white netting along the lateral and medial side panels. A dash of "Brigade Blue" arrives around the ankle, while "Light Fusion Red" hits the oversized Nike Air heel badge and top eyelets.
Of course, you can't talk about ULA's latest endeavour without mentioning the flipped tongue that gives the illusion of a low top shoe, and also the yellowed-out Air midsole that results in a vintage vibe that's sure to turn heads wherever you go.
Finished off with a bold blue co-branded hang tag, the Union LA x Nike Air Jordan 4 SP "Off Noir" is unlike anything we've seen before. Expected to hit shelves on August 29th alongside a store-exclusive "Guava Ice", let us know what you think of this collaboration, and in related news, the Off-White x Air Jordan 4 "Bred" is dropping later this year!
