Today, the sneaker world has a fresh contender from an ongoing partnership between UK retailer size? and the Japanese footwear powerhouse, ASICS. The duo are introducing an exclusive trainer, a new edition of the GEL-SEKIRAN, just in time for Summer 2025.

This release is part of ASICS's enduring 'Sound Body, Sound Mind' campaign, and it truly embodies the message by bringing the spirit of the outdoors to the urban landscape. The shoe arrives in two distinct, nature inspired colour palettes: a striking 'Green Gecko/Pure Silver' and a vibrant 'Bright Rose/Pure Silver'.

The GEL-SEKIRAN model, which debuted on the footwear scene in early 2025, draws its design inspiration from a specific era in running shoe history. It honours the 'noughties' aesthetic by taking structural cues from three of ASICS's most celebrated runners: the GEL-NIMBUS 13, GEL-CUMULUS 12, and GEL-CUMULUS 17. The new GEL-SEKIRAN skillfully blends the unique mesh and overlay patterns of these predecessors into its own updated form.

Under the hood, the shoe is engineered for modern comfort. It features GEL technology in both the rearfoot and forefoot, providing exceptional underfoot comfort for long days on your feet. A lightweight foam midsole houses silver GEL inserts in the forefoot and heel, which work together to offer a responsive feel and absorb shock with every step. The outsole is just as purposeful, with segmented rubber pods and a Guidance Line, ensuring flexibility and dependable traction.
