ASICS GEL-Sekiran Green Gecko

ASICS SportStyle officially reveals the GEL-Sekiran “Green Gecko”, a hybrid sneaker inspired by running models from the 2000s and 2010s. Borrowing design influences from the GEL-NIMBUS 13, GEL-CUMULUS 12, and GEL-CUMULUS 17, the silhouette takes its name from the Japanese word “sekiran'un”, meaning cumulonimbus cloud, a fitting tribute to some of ASICS’ most popular footwear series.

We know green and ASICS go together like breakfast in bed, and that is just as true with this gecko green Sekiran edition. This techy trainer features a light green open mesh upper with metallic silver overlays and trademark Tiger Stripes. A darker green shade envelops the laces, inner lining, and wavy synthetic layers along the quarter for contrast. The traditional ASICS logo adorns the forefoot, tongue, and sockliner, while a vertical “GEL” label rests on the rear. The sculpted foam midsole carries silver GEL inserts in the front and heel portions to maximise cushioning and distribute energy return. A solid rubber outsole implements a Guidance Line system for enhanced flexibility and comfort.
