Balenciaga has been killing it over the past few years. Once a brand dedicated to creating bland pieces for middle aged women, the Demna Gvasalia-helmed fashion house is now at the forefront of streetwear and sneakers, releasing ultra high heat silhouettes such as the Speed Trainer, Track, and of course, the Triple S. Now, according to Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault, the Parisian imprint is set to break €1 billion in revenue this year for the first time ever.
Balenciaga has been seeing exponential growth since 2015. With a laser sharp focus on the millennial market, the brand is the perfect combination of high fashion and streetwear. While their designs may not be for everyone, it's clear to see that ever single piece they release will kick off trends that will last seasons. For instance, the Speed Trainer paved the way to laceless sneakers, and the Triple S singlehandedly kickstarted the chunky dad shoe fad that doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon.
