After tapping Travis Scott to promote the Nike Mac Attack, the Swoosh has returned to its star-studded roster to promote its next retro revival: the Nike Air Alpha Force 88. This time it's singer Billie Eilish who’s set to give the archival silhouette a new lease on life, readying a couple of colourways, including “White/Black”, and “White/Red”.

Dating back to the ‘80s, the Nike Air Alpha Force 88 (or AAF88) is a retro basketball silhouette that bridged the gap between the Air Jordan 2 and the Air Jordan 3, and though the model was never a huge success, its now ready for its comeback. Taking on a design that was pretty typical of late ‘80s/ early ’90s b-ball shoes, the model sports perforated panels, colourful accents and a strap across the forefoot. What separates Eilish’s model from the original version is that (given her previous Nike collabs) this pair may actually be made from vegan leather and that this pair also features some very subtle Billie Eilish branding, seen only on the co-branded insole, bag and special edition box.
Given the mounting pressure on the Swoosh surrounding reported Jordan fatigue, it makes sense for the brand to bring back old classics like the AAF88 and the Air Ship, especially if it's able to back the models up with star power. Set to release from the 8th of August, set your reminder for each colourway below, and why not check out Cactus Plant Flea Market's upcoming Nike model.
