The Air Jordan 1 is a staple among sneakerheads, but it's also one of those silhouettes that people who are just casually into trainers will recognise the name of.
This time, the silhouette is arriving in Desert Ore – a colourway the Swoosh brand has been making a lot of use of lately in the Air Force 1 Sage Low Leopard, as well as the hotly anticipated Off-White x Nike Air Max 90 Desert Ore.
If you're one for a more muted colourway, but aren't feeling the hype of the Sage or Off-White collab, the low-key tonal nature of this Air Jordan 1 could be for you.
On the lateral sidewalls, the Swoosh has been made from perforations in the soft leather, adding to the minimalist appeal. More perforations appear on the toe vamp too for ventilation.
The slip-on nature of the silhouette further appeals to lover of design simplicity, since there are no laces to overcrowd the sneaker. Instead, an extra long tongue label reaches down to the bottom of the eyestay, and shows the Jumpman logo emblem sandwiched between Nike Air branding. Underfoot, the tonal midsole houses classic Air cushioning technology for bounce and cushioning with every step.
What do you think about the subtly tonal shoe? Are you a lover of muted minimalism, or is the brash, in-your-face nature of the Off-White x Nike Air Max 90 more your kind of Desert Ore cop? There's no firm release date for these yet, but they'll be available from Nike. Keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for more info on the release of the Air Jordan 1 Low Slip On in Desert Ore and more sneaker updates as they happen!
