This year is a special one for C.P. Company. The technical outerwear specialists are celebrating their semicentennial anniversary and honouring the long and fruitful journey its been. Having already collaborated with Patta last month, C.P. has now launched a commemorative book entitled C.P. Company 971 – 021. An Informal History of Italian Sportswear to coincide with the birthday event.
For the unknowing, C.P. company launched in 1971 as a product of later-famed Stone Island designer, Massimo Osti. Through innovative and unheard of techniques, Massimo gave his collections a signature military-inspired style with an added technical brilliance which shaped the brand to become the force it is today.
In the book itself, fifty personalities connected to the label share their stories and individual anecdotes. From previous C.P. Creative Directors such as Moreno Ferrari to landmark Stone Island designer Paul Harvey, and even Osti's close family and friends, the book encapsulates the brand's success and what it took to get to the stage it's at now.
