Whether you’re a basketball fan or not, it’s hard to deny the huge impact that the NBA has had on the sneaker scene over the years. Whether it’s signature series sneakers or players rocking heat in the tunnels, basketball and sneakers are fully intertwined. Nike is joining the celebrations this year as the NBA celebrates 75 years of existence by launching a limited edition pair of Dunk Lows!
The NBA x Nike Dunk Low “Diamond Anniversary” celebrates the iconic silhouette that first debuted back in 1984 on the hardwood, and has since become a cultural classic, shooting to popularity once again in recent months. The pair look set to be decked out in the iconic “Chicago'' colour scheme made famous by Michael Jordan, and will feature a number of special-edition touches.
From these early images it seems that the uppers are crafted from premium leather for a classic look and feel, while colour-blocking gives these a vintage appearance that us sneakerheads love. Nike’s Swoosh logo is present on both the lateral and medial sides, while other notable features include a 75th anniversary tongue tab and diamond-printed gold-tone metal lace dubraes.
If you’re looking to get your hands on the upcoming NBA x Nike Dunk Low “Diamond Anniversary” then make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest news and updates, as there’s no official release details just yet. While you’re here, take a look at a sneak peek of the upcoming KITH x New Balance RC_1300 posted by Ronnie Fieg!
