Virgil Abloh’s “The 10” collection was truly a selection of grails back when it was released, with each pair still holding its own right through to the present day. While the release version of the Air Force 1 was groundbreaking, recently, a 1-of-1 sample variant surfaced online and was eventually sold to none other than Drake. Decked out in a white colourway and crafted from traditional premium leather, the sneakers showcase subtle additions to the 1982 design such as a silver Swoosh logo and the instantly-recognisable “AIR” printed onto the midsole.
The pair were listed for sale via Instagram by old-school sneakerhead and collector bikemanx, who claims he received over 50 messages enquiring about purchasing the sneakers. Eventually, they were sold to Drake, as we’re fairly certain he was the highest bidder! With the star being a huge sneakerhead himself, we’ve got no doubts that he’ll be putting this pair straight on foot, which we have huge respect for! Make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest sneaker news and updates, and while you’re here check out the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low “Marina Blue”!
