After leaked images surfaced at the beginning of the year, anticipation for the Air Jordan 1 Low “Black Toe” has been at an all-time high ever since. Forming part of Jordan Brand’s epic summer line-up, official images have now surfaced, and it looks as if the drop is finally in motion. If you’re looking to add the OG colourway to your rotation, then read on for everything you need to know ahead of its release.
Dressed in Bulls colours, the “Black Toe” AJ1 formed part of the OG Jordan line-up, which makes it one of the most sought-after colourways going. And, even though they were worn on the court, it's actually the rarity of this colourway that makes it so special. Few retros of this colourway actually exist - it’s been produced as an AJ1 Mid, a satin-covered women’s exclusive, and in this low-top form in 2019 - that last Low launch fetching around £300 on the resale market.
In terms of its makeup, the pair follows traditional “Black Toe” colour blocking. Starting with a fresh white base, its Swooshes and forefoot overlays come in solid black, while a Bulls red hue is applied to the heels and outsoles. From here, a Ball and Wings logo stamps the heel, while a Nike-branded tab sits atop the tongue.
As it stands, the Air Jordan 1 Low "Black Toe" is expected to drop on the 28th of July, although reports are saying that this has been pushed back to the 4th of August for the US. Still, any dates or changes are still to be confirmed by the Swoosh. If these are on your radar (and believe us, they should be) then be sure to hit the release reminder links below, and in the meantime, the Nike Dunk Low "Plum" is making its return.
