Classic and Contemporary Collide With the Nike Air Max 270 Pre-Day "BeTrue"

If you’re a big fan of retro sneakers but you also have a thing for super sleek modern ones, then the Nike Air Max 270 Pre-Day "BeTrue" has your name written all over it. A sample that was leaked by insider @solebyjc, this shoe is the point that classic meets contemporary, and here’s everything that we know so far.

Inspired by vintage runners from the 1970s, the "BeTrue" brings with it OG design features such as nylon uppers and suede overlays but infuses it with a touch of futurism. With an oversized tongue and a Swoosh that extends all the way towards the heel, the Air midsole has also been completely deconstructed for a show stopping look.

Originally supposed to be part of Nike’s annual “BeTrue” Collection that celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, we’re not entirely sure why it never made the cut, but with the current coronavirus pandemic it probably just missed production deadlines.
