Following the release of the "Patent Bred" at the end of last year, we're now getting our first look at what could be the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Patent Royal". While these leaks have yet to be confirmed, images of what are being called samples have surfaced across the internet, and if they are legit then count us in.
Inspired by the OG "Royal" colour scheme, the iconic colour blocking has been retained but the materials themselves have been switched out. Rather than the classic tumbled leather construction that we all know and love, this Air Jordan 1 has been draped in glossy patent leather for a wet look. While this might not be everyone's cup of tea, there's no doubt that it adds another dimension to the legendary palette.
The signature winged basketball emblem is finely stamped onto the ankle, while a Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels. Just like the original, the Air midsole is painted in a crisp all-white hue that adds a pop of contrast to the shoe, finalising the design.
As mentioned before, the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG "Patent Royal" is probably just a sample at the minute so there are no plans for it to release. With that said, if they do happen to launch we'll be the first to let you know. Let us know what you think of this colourway, and while you're here, you might as well take your first look at the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Heirloom"!
