Could This New Balenciaga x adidas Sneaker Be Legit?

Gucci and adidas are officially back, but could the same be said for the 3-Stripes partnership with Balenciaga? With both brands scrambling for change right now, the duo may have once again come together for another joint effort - according to the internet, that is.

Just a couple of days ago, images of a new adidas x Balenciaga sneaker surfaced. Appearing to be a hybrid between the Balenciaga Track Sneaker and the adidas Forum High, the imagery wasn’t particularly convincing, but then neither was the adidas-branded Triple S when that first surfaced. According to the imagery, the model sees the adidas forum get a luxe pebbled-leather makeover, while the Track Runner’s skeletal build wraps its way around the upper. The basketball-style sneaker has also been given a sporty touch in the form of the Track’s runner-style sole unit, which adds to the oddness, to say the least.

Branding hits serve as even more reminders of the high fashion-sportswear link-up. A Trefoil hits the ankle, and Balenciaga branding hits the forefoot. The toe cap also comes stamped with the fashion house’s signature sizing detail - here in a 42, which just so happens to be a sample size.
