Despite the name, Virgil Abloh's collection known as "The Ten"; has spanned more than 30 styles and colourways. This is a range which has come to represent the pinnacle of modern footwear. Taking already iconic silhouettes, Virgil has managed to reinvent the Swoosh with all-new appeal for today's sneakerheads.
It all begun in 2017 when the first batch of heat arrived including the Jordan 1 OG and other hyped renditions such as the Presto and Air Max 90. Fast forward more than twelve months and the Off-White x Nike collaboration is more popular than ever before. Last week's Off-White x Air Force 1 was painfully difficult to cop as thousands attempted via the Nike SNEAKRS raffle.
Unfortunately, not all good things last forever. If a recent Insta post from Virgil is anything to go by, the end could be in sight for "The Ten"; as we know it!
Posting via an Insta story, Virgil hints at a conclusion to his relationship with Nike. Viril wrote “small fact: personally I'm visually obsessed with the combination of black sneaker / white swoosh white laces. Hence every edition of the last ever “10” came as such.”
With that said, could that Off-White x Air Force 1 'Black' signify the beginning of the end?! New styles of the Off-White x Air Max 90 are reported to launch in January but that could be the last of the "The Ten";.
That said, many fans will be hoping that Virgil unveils a completely fresh collab with Nike. Stay tuned for more updates and alerts!
