Declan Rice Is The Face Of adidas SPZL’s New Chapter

Article Updated 3rd November: After marking its ten-year anniversary with a year-long celebration in 2024, SPZL’s next chapter kicks off by going back to what it knows best: reinterpreting the adidas archive with precision, passion and a deep connection to UK subculture.

For Autumn/Winter 2025, the SPZL line returns with a full collection of incredible pieces which are sure to turn heads. To launch the collection, the Three Stripes Brand have gone all out and selected a star who embodies British football culture perhaps more than anyone, Declan Rice. The campaign imagery oozes atmosphere and gets us even more excited for the upcoming release.

Now officially slated for release on Thursday, November 6th at adidas CONFIRMED and select retailers, take a closer look at the full footwear offering from this latest collection below.

Leading the pack is the Grisedale SPZL, a rugged hiking boot clad in rich brown leathers and functional hardware, bringing alpine edge to the adidas archive. The Lytham SPZL steps in as a surprise addition which we’re looking forward to getting our hands on. A suede boat shoe reimagined for the street, this shoe offers moc-style stitching and casual cool. Rounding out the outdoor-focused styles is the New York SPZL, a reworked classic with military green panelling, tactile mesh and a chunky outsole that nods to trail heritage.

For those chasing more traditional terrace shapes, the München II SPZL is one to watch. Arriving in a moody black suede with crisp white stripes and that signature blue tongue tag, this City Series classic is sure to turn heads. Another option is the Samoa II SPZL, which channels retro athleticism in deep olive and tan. Finally, bringing things home is the GS II SPZL. Keeping things clean and minimal in a light stone grey palette, this is perfect for those looking to freshen up their rotation without straying from the Spezial ethos.
