In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past year or so, New Balance is absolutely killing it right now. While the brand has always been popular amongst trendsetters and tastemakers, it’s now been propelled to new heights of popularity by plenty of high-heat collaborations and incredibly good general release silhouettes. Slowing absolutely no signs of slowing down, the label has just unveiled a brand-new collection titled the Protection Pack.
Made up of three colourways of the 2002R, the pack offers a deconstructed aesthetic that instantly catches the eyes and presents a fresh take on classic design. Titled “Rain Cloud”, “Phantom” and “Sea Salt”, the colourways showcase classic grey, black and white respectively.
All three pairs look like they’re crafted from absolutely top-notch premium suede and mesh, with the uppers depicting the iconic panelling that’s made the 2002R such a hit silhouette in the first place. The pack launched as an Asia exclusive earlier on this year and was incredibly well-received, with it now being hyped up in preparation for a global release. New Balance’s signature N logo appears on both the lateral and medial sides, while embroidered 2002R branding adds a premium touch.
This all sits on top of an ABZORB midsole and an NERGY outsole that together provide some of the best cushioning in the game. You can stay looking absolutely fly and be more comfortable than ever with these pairs! It’s safe to say that here at The Sole Supplier we’re more than impressed with this pack.
If you’re looking to cop any of the models from the upcoming New Balance 2002R Protection Pack, then hold tight just a little longer just yet. There’s no official release date announced, but they’re expected to drop very soon. Keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest and while you’re here, make sure to check out these must-have summer sneakers!
