ICYMI – Y2K styling isn’t going anywhere this year. In fact, it’s about to get infinitely better. Our fave workwear brand-turned-cultural-icons, Dickies , have teamed up with every A-Lister's go-to streetwear brand, LĒO, for a nostalgia inducing collection of 90s-inspired styles.
Although known for their roots in workwear, Dickies shot to popularity in the 90s when skaters and musicians alike adopted their casual styles, and the brand soon became a pop-culture staple.
In particular, one of Dickies' most iconic styles of the era, the Big Daddy pants, became a must-have for anyone who was into fashion. Instantly recognised by the decorative logo patch on the original style, LĒO took this playful element and turned it into a running detail throughout the rest of their collaborative collection, and you’ll spot it used in a myriad of ways across the pants, jackets and tees.
We have to say, all of the pieces in the collection are straight fire, but we’re particularly vibing with LĒO’s take on the Dickies Classic Workwear Jacket (which can be belted for a more subversive, cinched fit), and the pants, which have been lifted for a higher waist, and feature an embroidered patch on the back panel. Other highlights have to be the dress, which is one of the first dresses ever made for a Dickies collection, and the Bubble Top, which gives off serious 90s vibes.
