With the tragic events of Astroworld lingering fresh in many of our minds, it comes as no surprise that more brands would attempt to distance themselves from Travis Scott. Now, after first being announced in June, the full Cactus Jack x Dior collaboration has been postponed indefinitely.
This collaboration joins the ever-growing list of brands attempting to distance themselves from the Houston-born rapper. We've already seen Fortnite remove the signature Travis Scott skin from its game, as well as Nike postponing the launch of the Travis Scott x Air Max 1 , so this latest cancellation comes as yet another blow for Travis.
In a statement released to WWD, Dior stated the following - “Out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection."
The full line-up was set to contain a range of luxury menswear pieces, including T-Shirts that pay tribute to the late rapper Pop Smoke. It's unclear at this time if the collection will ever surface, but we have our doubts. In other news, an adidas x Gucci collaboration could be on the way .
