It seems like forever since we first got a preview of Drake’s NOCTA sneaker, but now it’s looking like we could finally be a little closer to a drop date. Originally expected to release back in October, the self-proclaimed "Certified Lover Boy" took to Instagram stories to share another look at his NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra “White Chrome,”, and more recently a look at the "Triple Black" version. Now, official promo images have been shared by the NOCTA Instagram account, with a release set to happen very soon.

First teased in his “Laugh Now, Cry Later” video, the “White Chrome” NOCTA Hot Step Air Terra is a chunky, runner-inspired silhouette that comes dressed in tumbled white leather and metallic chrome accents. The plush leather uppers feature spaced-out perforations and follow a curved construction along the profiles – a nod to 90s Nike styles – and NOCTA logos appear on the tongue and the liners. Studded chrome Swooshes sit just below the lacing unit and towards the lateral ankle, and 3M details add an extra finishing touch.
The "Triple Black" version sees similar detailing. The black base is contrasted by the chrome details, 3M piping and a yellow air bubble.
Underfoot, a chunky midsole comes complete with a visible Air Max unit, and the outsole features an aggressive tread pattern with yellow detailing. Whilst the NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra is a completely new silhouette, appearing on the shoe's spine is “G-TEK” branding, suggesting that the sole technology is the same as that seen on a previous Nike Air Terra model, the 1999 Air Terra Humana.
The Nike NOCTA sub-label is said to be inspired by what Drake calls the “Nocturnal Grind,” and whilst Drake hasn’t spoken about the inspiration behind the shoe itself, the Air Terra name suggests some heritage within Nike’s AGC line.
Although we were treated to the official images of the white pair back in October, if Champagne Papi’s stories are anything to go by, we could be seeing them soon.
