After redefining British classics with Percival, classy footwear expert DUKE + DEXTER is looking to continue with its collaborative hot streak. Often experimental in its cooperative efforts, DUKE + DEXTER has tapped rising London artist SOLDIER to produce a fresh rendition of its Penny Loafer.
SOLDIER, or @soldierboyfriend as he calls himself on Instagram, appears to specialise in creating colourful and vibrant print-like work, which is now evidently present on the "Tiger Camo" silhouette. The collaboration itself marks the first time DUKE + DEXTER has used an artist's cotton canvas atop one of its models, and needless to say, it's a hit.
Atop a compounded rubber sole, a quality Italian leather upper is formed to a sleek profile. Exposed stitching in a white hue decorates the exterior, backed up by a "Tiger Camo 001" print designed by SOLDIER on the toe box and tongue. To polish things off, SOLDIER x D+D collaborative branding can be seen on the white insoles.
The shoe itself launched today and is available for purchase on DUKE + DEXTER's website, priced at £260. In other footwear news, Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance reimagines a trio of 860v2 colourways.
