Elevating Everyday Styles with UNIQLO's Versatile Knitwear Collection

Whilst hoodies and sweatshirts definitely deserve a place in our wardrobe, this season we have seen a huge increase in demand for quality knitwear. More and more sneakerheads are turning away from the classic streetwear staples and looking more into classic menswear styles like trousers, knits and coats.

UNIQLO’s latest Fall/Winter release is filled with some incredibly versatile pieces which are perfect if you’re looking to experiment with some knitwear options this season. We’ve picked out four favourite pieces from the collection to show how you can style knitwear up or down with ease.

Starting things off simple, we have the Soufflé Yarn Crew Neck Jumper. Made from a wool blend and designed with a wide cut at the shoulders and body, this boxy option is perfect if you’re looking for something that can easily replace a hoodie in your usual rotation. Opting for the grey colourway, you can throw this on with almost anything to elevate your usual looks.

Sticking with the classic crew neck knit, we also got our hands on this beige colourway. While a little bit riskier for your everyday wear, the lighter colour allows you to add a pop to your outfit, especially since we all tend to rock darker colours as soon as the cold weather rolls in. Pair this knit jumper with a dark pair of trousers or jeans and a simple sneaker and you have a modern take on a classic look which is perfect for layering as we come into winter.

Next up, we styled the UNIQLO Lambswool V Neck Cardigan. This 100% wool cardigan is incredibly warm and lightweight, making it a great option for keeping warm in those transitional months. Cardigans have become much more popular in streetwear in the past few years thanks to brands like Stussy and Kapital, so styling this option was easy. We went for a classic white tee paired with some dark jeans and a pair of sneakers. You really can’t go wrong with this outfit but if you wanted to go even further you could swap out the jeans for a pair of wide trousers for a slightly different silhouette.

Last but not least, we checked out the Milano Ribbed Shirt Collar Cardigan. A slightly different option, this collared cardigan is much lighter than our other picks, so won’t hold up to the winter weather as well. However, what it lacks in warmth it makes up for in versatility, as this was a big hit with The Sole Supplier office. Pair it with a pair of classic blue jeans and almost anything on foot and you have a great outfit that will see you from day to night.
