End of an Era: CLOT & Nike Are Rumoured To Be Ending Their Partnership

After nearly two decades, CLOT and Nike are rumoured to be ending their longstanding partnership. The Hong Kong-based label has headed up a number of successful releases with the Swoosh, including the still-to-come CLOT x Nike Dunk Low “Cork”, but is now said to be leaving Nike for rival adidas for the next step in its journey.

Having already dropped its “CLOTEZ”, and a particularly nostalgic three-way Dunk collab with fragment design earlier this year, it appears that Edison Chen’s label is still working on one final Nike project. Aside from the already-revealed “Cork” Dunk, the brand is reportedly working on a “What the CLOT” creation, which will reference some of the duo’s most iconic collabs. Right now, the actual silhouette is unknown, but sneaker insider horhead_sales has suggested that one shoe will feature a Nike Air unit.

Given CLOT’s past run of Nike collaborations, the news does come as a surprise, but now that the brand is in its 20th anniversary year, maybe Edison Chen has decided it's time for a change.
