While many alternative music fans are still shocked at the prospect of the upcoming Korn x adidas collaboration, yet another link-up has appeared From Under The Cork Tree. Taking to Instagram, legendary rock/punk/emo unit Fall Out Boy has seemingly revealed what looks to be an upcoming collaboration with the 3-Stripe brand.
At first glance, it's quite difficult to recognise just exactly which adidas model we're looking at here, but given the low profile, lateral triangular stitching and the shape of the heel tab, it seems to be a Stan Smith. Given the fact that the Stan Smith's 3-Stripe detailing usually arrives in the form of perforated holes, the bold navy stripes might be enough to throw off most adidas fans.
Continuing with the navy theme, this same hue extends to the heel tab and emblem at the heel. The emblem itself references the band's "Young Volcanoes" song, a nod to the late and great artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. At this point, it's unclear whether or not the collaboration will be available to the masses, but given the band's success over the years, this one could be a hit.
