It's almost become a tradition now for sneaker brands to put out themed released to celebrate Valentine's Day – Nike has released a Pale Pink Air Max Plus TN adorned with love heart motifs, Converse has covered the sole of its Chuck 70 Low with hearts, and adidas has followed suit with the Stan Smith Heart silhouette featuring a tiny 3-Stripe heart.
And if these releases weren't enough, the collab between Emotionally Unvailable (aka E.U) and Nike could be for you! The Chinese streetwear label has teamed up with the American sportswear giant to transform the Air Force 1 High into the the ultimate love-themed sneaker for 2019.
Apart from the bold red and pink tones, the biggest design shake-up is the scrapping of a normal tongue, and replacing it for a silver zip closure on the top. Underneath this closure, there is an additional tongue sporting the black and white 'E.U Air' collab label complete with a melting heart on the inside. The E.U Air branding is repeated again on a cream ankle strap in black.
The upper is formed from a bright red canvas textile, layered in its usual Air Force 1 fashion. There are oversized white rope laces weaving through the eyelets and a Large Swoosh in what appears to be a hot pink fluffy texture, with a white embroidered trim. This all sits on top of the classic off white Air Max sole unit – with the addition of a matching red rubber outsole to complement the upper.
What do you think of these loved up trainers? Set for release on the 8th of February, keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for updates on where you can get your hands on a pair of the Emotionally Unavailable x Nike Air Force 1 High.
