Back in December, we reported that the legendary Air Jordan 1 AJKO "Chicago" was making a comeback. Created by Michael Jordan back in 1986, it was supposed to be a versatile pair that switched out the classic leather for canvas, resulting in a lifestyle-friendly fit and finish. Now, one month later, and we're already taking our first look at some upcoming colourways including the Air Jordan 1 AJKO "Paisley" that has caught our eye.
A print that's been tried and tested for decades, it's one that just never gets old. Seen here in a dark navy colour palette, it stretches across the canvas construction towards the toebox and upwards to the heel and collar. Various motifs make their way across different panels for a somewhat thrifted look that we're really feeling. Across the sidewalls you'll find a luxe leather Nike Swoosh for a premium feel, and of course, the iconic winged basketball motif resides around the ankle for that classic look that we all know and love.
Of course, it wouldn't be an Air Jordan 1 without the Air midsole underfoot. Dipped in a stark white colour scheme, it offers an insane amount of comfort and cushioning both on and off the court.
Rumoured to be one shoe of a much larger "Paisley Pack", the Nike Air Jordan 1 AJKO "Paisley" is expected to drop around the summer season. Let us know what you think of this upcoming colourway, and in related news, the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Pollen" is also dropping this summer!
