Paris Fashion Week is not pulling back any punches this season. Following the announcement of the somewhat controversial Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 collection, we're now taking our first ever look at Travis Scott's Cactus Jack x Dior sneaker that we certainly didn't expect. Made in collaboration with the Kim Jones-helmed label, the range was unveiled by the French luxury fashion house's mens footwear designer Thibo on Instagram.
Inspired by classic skate shoes of the past, La Flame's Dior shoe is giving us serious DC and Osiris vibes. Working atop a versatile canvas base, pebbled leather panels make their way across the ankle and lacing system, while the toebox, mudguards, and heel are all dressed in a buttery smooth suede that looks like pure luxury. A chunky midsole sits underfoot, with some pairs being lined in gum rubber while other boasting an icy blue finish.
The brand new Cactus Jack x Dior logo that we previewed yesterday can be seen on a tag and around the back, while the tongue is proudly embellished with a "CD" diamond emblem. This motif can also be found across the top eyelets to cement the high heat collaboration, finalising the simple yet sleek aesthetic.
Rumoured to be landing sometime in the summer of 2022, the Travis Scott's Cactus Jack x Dior sneaker collaboration will come in a variety of colourways with a multitude of finishes and textures. Let us know what you think of this surprising partnership, and in related news, the Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Low finally has a release date!
