In 2020, Berlin's very own Civilist shocked the sneaker world with the release of the Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low. While it looked pretty simple from the outset, upon further inspection (and with a little heat) we quickly found out that there was way more than meets the eye. Two years later, and it looks like the beloved skate store will be bringing back that same aesthetic with the Civilist x Nike Air Force 1 - and we're taking our very first look yet!
While these leaks aren't the clearest, you can see that this Air Force 1 usually features a black upper with contrast white stitching throughout, just like the aforementioned Dunk. With that said, as soon as the AF1 comes in contact with any heat, whether through physical touch or light, the previously all-black upper begins to change into a shades of blue, green, orange, red, and yellow, showcasing all the colours of the temperature spectrum.
Rounding off the design, a Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while Civilist's signature smiley logo is stitched onto the tongue, finalising the special collaboration.
We're not sure if the Civilist x Nike Air Force 1 Low "Thermography" is just an early sample or even a custom, but with 2022 being the basketball silhouette's 40th birthday, releasing this sneaker would be a no-brainer. Let us know if you prefer this or the Dunk, and in related news, the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "Green" is dropping this summer... but there's a catch!
