At the beginning of last month, Tremaine Emory, who was recently appointed as Creative Director of Supreme, took to Instagram to reveal the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "Green". While the entire industry was left in utter shock, there was no doubting the legitimacy of the colourway considering Denim Tears was good friends with the late Virgil Abloh. With all that said, we're now getting news that the coveted colourway is set to launch this summer... but as the title already states, there's a catch.
Following the same winning formula as every other Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 that's dropped over the past five years, the "Light Green Spark" boasts a full leather construction that's soft and smooth to the tough. A metallic silver Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while additional Abloh-isms like the quoted text and exposed stitching also make an appearance throughout.
Underneath it all you'll find a complementary "AIR"-branded midsole, and of course, it wouldn't be an Off-White sneaker without the signature zip-tie that we recently wrote an entire article about. This one is painted in all-green to match the rest of the Air Force 1.
Now for that all-important release info. According to our trusted sources, the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "Lt Green Spark" will launch as part of Abloh's first posthumous exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City. Just like before, the showcase will be titled "Figures of Speech" and will open on July 1st, so expect the AF1 to drop around this time. While numbers are naturally going to be pretty limited, the exhibit doesn't end until January 29th 2023, so at least you'll have plenty of time to celebrate the famed designer's legacy. Let us know what you think of this news, and while you're here, here's when you can cop the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid!
