When it comes to hyped sneaker collaborations, Concepts just never disappoint. After teaming up with New Balance at the end of last year, the Boston-based retailer has now reunited with the Beaverton brand for the Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 "Wild Violet" and the "Black" - and we're now taking our first look yet!
One of the wildest sneakers ever made, Concepts' take on the legendary Air Max 1 is unlike anything we've seen before. Featuring a plethora of patterns and a myriad of materials, this AM1 works on top of a light washed denim base while paisley panels make their way to the mudguards and heel. Tribal-inspired shapes adorn the ankle, while a dash of corduroy descends upon the top eyelets and the sockliner. Both colourways are painted in a series of different shades with the second one placing a bigger emphasis on tiger camo.
Of course, you can't talk about this coveted collab without mentioning the Nike Swooshes. The lateral ones feature a series of horizontal stripes, while the medial versions are blooming with a bouquet of colourful flowers. This design extends towards the special edition shoebox which reworks the original style. To round it all off, a creamy white Air midsole sits down below, lined with a gum rubber outsole for durable traction with every step. It's worth noting that both pairs also come accompanied with a set of velour laces if you're going for an even crazier vibe.
The CNCPTS x Nike Air Max 1 "Wild Violet" and "Black" has got to be the craziest collab in history, and we think they're going to be one of the most sought-after ones too. Expected to drop sometime this summer, make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! While you're here, here's why you won't be able to cop the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "White"!
