Supreme and the Swoosh have been collaborating since 2002, and for their next project, they'll be taking on one of the Beaverton brand's most iconic silhouettes with the Supreme x Nike Air Max 96. The brainchild of legendary sneaker designer Sergio Lozano, who also created the Air Max 95, this collab is going to be pretty big.
Regarded as the most underrated Air Max shoe out there, Supreme's take on the AM96 goes back to its OG roots. With a smooth black leather construction and dark grey outlining, the mesh pods that usually reside along the lateral and medial side panels have been replaced with a series of dark red bubbles that give the shoe a somewhat devilish vibe.
While there aren't manage images of these about, you can see a Supreme-branded plaque around the heel as well as a chunky Nike Air midsole underfoot, providing comfort and cushioning that's truly unreal.
At this moment in time, almost nothing else is known about the Supreme x Nike Air Max 96, though rumour has it that it'll arrive sometime in 2021. Let us know what you think of the New York streetwear label's latest Swoosh collaboration, and in related news, it looks like a Supreme x Air Jordan 1 "Stars" could be in the works!
