Translucency seems to be the name of the game at Louis Vuitton at the moment because following on from their covetable Translucent Bag from last year, the brand (with Off-White's Virgil Abloh at the helm) is set to release a new Louis Vuitton 408 “Translucent” sneaker.
Posted on Mathias Patillon’s Instagram, the sneaker was shown in all its glowing glory. Boasting a slight metallic sheen, the upper is crafted from a synthetic fabric and the Louis Vuitton motif is scattered across the toe box and runs along the sides. A solid logo can be found on the anchor that holds down the laces and is also embossed onto the lateral side. The skater-style laces nod to urban style and the purple-ish midsole offsets the metallic sheen found on the upper.
Perforations are added to the toe box for ventilation to prevent condensation and the heel is padded with breathable mesh so they don’t rub.

If LV’s translucent bag is anything to go by, these sneakers will sell out instantly and be one of the year’s most in-demand silhouettes. However, there’s absolutely no news about a release yet. Nothing. Nada. So keep it locked into The Sole Supplier to be the first to know when more info surfaces about the Louis Vuitton 408 “Translucent” sneaker!
Elsewhere in the luxury-sneaker world, the Dior x Nike Jordan 1 High OG Grey is rumoured for a spring release! So keep an eye out for that release, too.
