After seeing a meteoric rise since 2014, it seems Teddy Santis' fashion and lifestyle imprint Aimé Leon Dore is finally reaching stratospheric levels. French conglomerate LVMH has now taken a minority stake in the New York based company for an undisclosed sum.
Over the years, Aimé Leon Dore has continued to gain traction within the fashion scene due to its streetwear meets preppy aesthetic combined with its range of classic New York tropes. In the past, we've seen the brand collaborate with New Balance to produce a vast amount of silhouettes, with some even crediting the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 collaboration from 2020 as the reason why the 550 is continuing to reach new levels of popularity even now.
It is said Aimé Leon Dore (or ALD, as some prefer) will continue to operate out of its New York office as normal with LVMH offering support from afar. Considering LVMH purchased a majority sum in Off-White in July of last year, we're confident ALD is in safe hands from here on out, and we can't wait to see what comes next.
