Balenciaga's statement Platform Crocs raised more than a few eyebrows when they debuted on Paris Fashion Week runways last year.

Love them or loathe them, the couture of Crocs are back and clearly taking the ugly shoe trend by storm.

These sky-high platforms flew off the shelves following their initial release, and we reckon that Balenciaga's gaudy but brilliant design will capture the hearts of fashion fans once again this year.

The Platform Crocs made their first appearance in barbie pink and NYC taxi yellow, emblazoned with chunky tourist-inspired Balenciaga logo pins across the upper.

The shoe's towering silhouette is miraculously comfortable, as a result of expert cushioning provided by Balenciaga's signature shock absorbing Foam sole.

The Spanish label have seemingly achieved the impossible in making Crocs cool and fashion-forward.
