We’ve had a lot of reasons to celebrate Nike’s iconic Air technology this month, as March always encompasses Air Max Day. What makes this year even better though, is that this year the Beaverton brand launched its first Air Max sneaker designed exclusively in Grade School-sizes. The Nike Air Max Motif is here to bring the brand’s super-soft cushioning to small feet, so here’s why you (or your kids!) need a pair of the coolest new kicks around.
Inspired by Tinker Hatfield’s legendary Air Max 1 and the Air Max Zero, the new Air Max Motif silhouette arrives in three cool colourways, “Aura” (which gives off AM1 La Ville Lumiere vibes), “Photon Dust” and “White” (pictured). Although technically a kids’ release, the shoe isn’t short on premium detailing, with soft suede and clean canvas sitting on top a breathable mesh upper, giving serious AM1 vibes. Finishing off the upper, of course, is a sleek Nike Swoosh that can be seen sweeping across the sidewalls.
Underfoot, the Air Max Motif receives the typical Air Max treatment, with a visible Air Bubble peeping out from the sole. This sole unit takes inspiration from the Air Max 2090, and sees the rest of the midsole come crafted from soft foam. A hardwearing rubber outsole completes the design.
The brand-new Air Max Motif silhouette is available now at Nike, with even more colourways on the horizon. Let us know which pair you go for, and remember to download our app to stay up to date with all the latest sneaker news and releases.
