Since 1999, Ghostly International has cemented itself as one of the most influential record labels of the 21st century. With an arsenal of critically acclaimed independent artists under their belt, the Brooklyn-based brand has now teamed up with Vans for a sneaker collection that celebrates their 20th birthday.
Taking on the Sk8-Hi and Slip On, the skate shoes are painted in monochromatic black and white hues, respectively. Ghostly's ghoulish logo is peppered throughout the canvas upper in 3M, while Vans tags also make an appearance. A co-branded insole features on both shoes in a bold purple hue, and to round it all off, vulcanised rubber midsoles sit down below for comfort that's perfect for both the studio and the half pipe.
“We think of each of our over 500 releases as collaborations between artists, and we're happy to work with a legendary brand like Vans."; explains Ghostly founder and creative director Sam Valenti. "They've always had music and creativity at their core. The chance to design shoes with them is a dream come true.";
Set to release on October 1st, the Ghostly International x Vans collection is a must cop, so make sure you stay tuned for more release info as it develops as well as an updated list of stockists. Will you be adding these to your collection? Let us know!
