While Valentine’s Day is a day reserved for the special person in your life, it’s also an opportunity for sneaker brands to flex limited-edition releases, with plenty of sneakerheads eagerly awaiting this year's offerings. Jordan Brand seems to be one of the first to unveil what it’s been working on, showcasing the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Valentine’s Day”. Decked out in a neat mix of pink, red and white, the legendary 1985 silhouette looks perfectly suited for the holiday that inspired it.
Crafted from a mix of nubuck, tumbled leather and athletic mesh, the uppers show off traditional AJ1 panelling that hasn’t changed much since the models inception. Details come in the form of a red Swoosh logo on either side, a wings logo on the collar and stamped rose details on the heel for a special-edition touch. Plenty of padding also resides around the ankles to ensure that these are comfortable to wear.
The appearance is finished with a Jumpman logo on the tongue and a perforated toe box, two classic features once again. Beneath the feet, a whited-out rubber midsole conceals full-length Nike Air cushioning to ensure that these are plenty comfortable, while a pink outsole completes the colour combination for a well-rounded look.
If you’re keen on this romantically-themed Air Jordan 1 then make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier, as there’s no official release date just yet, and we’d imagine they’ll drop closer to February.
